“There are many people in the United Kingdom who maintain strong and personal ties with Spain, and our nations are united by many things in common,” add Kings Charles and Camilla.
“We send to you and the people of Spain our most sincere and heartfelt condolences for the tragic loss of so many lives,” says the statement from the British monarchs.
“Our thoughts, prayers and our deepest condolences are with all those who have lost their loved ones and their livelihoods in this terrible week,” the statement concludes.
