CUENCA.- The Rubiocar company warehouse, which carries out a good part of the services in the province of Cuenca, caught fire this morning and has suffered serious damage. At the moment the origin of the fire, which would have started at the bottom of the ship, is unknown, although the causes are still to be clarified.
The Cuenca City Council has confirmed that the fire originated around 3:00 a.m. this Saturday, in the city’s SEPES industrial estate.
Two fire crews from Cuenca have traveled there with two vehicles, one high-rise and a bomb vehicle, and have put out the fire, which was extinguished around eight in the morning this Saturday.
The fire has affected the entire ship and buses that was inside, a total of 16, as well as the structure itself, with risk of collapse.
In addition to extinguishing the fire, the work of firefighters has focused on its containment to prevent it from affecting neighboring buildings.
The work now focuses on reviewing and inspecting that there is no impact on those adjacent warehouses and on preventing people from accessing the affected facilities.
The company operates regular, school and discretionary routes, and has its headquarters in Villares del Saz. In total, the company’s fleet is around 200 buses, distributed in different centers, located in Tarancón, Toledo or Madrid.
