Various areas of Catalonia and of Country Valencia continue this Saturday in orange alert due to significant risk of rain, and in yellow alert -of lower intensity- due to the risk of storms that could be accompanied by hail.
In addition, the warning map of the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has included in yellow areas of Cádiz and Granada also due to the risk of rain and storms.
In Country Valenciawhich has suffered the most devastating effects of this DANA, the alert for significant risk of rain is in Castelló and it will last all day.
According to the State Meteorological Agencythe accumulated precipitation in one hour could be 40 liters per square meter in the northern interior and northern coast, while in 12 hours up to 100 liters per square meter in these same areas.
On the southern coast of this province the alert is yellow and the accumulated rain forecast in one hour is 20 liters per square meter and of 60 in twelve hours. Storms that may be accompanied by hail are expected in the northern interior and northern and southern coasts.
In Catalonia, the Aemet alert map indicates areas of Tarragona. There, both on the southern coast and on the southern pre-coastal, accumulated precipitation is expected in one hour of 40 liters per square meterand of 100 liters per square meter in twelve hours.
As in Castelló, the orange alert due to significant risk of rain is established for the entire Saturday.
It will also rain, although with less intensity (yellow warning), on the northern coast of Tarragona, the coast of Barcelonathe southern coast of Girona and central depression of Tarragona, with 20 liters per square meter in one hour in the first three areas and 15 in the central depression of Tarragona.
Storms are expected on both the northern and southern coasts, the pre-coastal and the central depression, which in the first three points could be accompanied by hail. (the notice is yellow).
The coast of Barcelona is also under a yellow warning due to the risk of coastal phenomena, with winds from the northeast of 50 kilometers per hour.
In Andalusia The alerts are for areas of Cádiz and Granada.
In Cadizthe yellow warning is established, for now, only until 2:00 p.m. There it is expected that in the Strait the accumulated precipitation in one hour will be 15 liters per square meter and that storms may be accompanied by hail.
In Grenadewhere the yellow notice will begin at 2:00 p.m. and will extend until 8:00 p.m., the forecast is that they will be collected in one hour as well. 15 liters per meter square in Guadix, Baza, Nevada and Alpujarras.
At all these points the storms could be accompanied by hail.
Although areas of the southern peninsula and the Balearic Islands woke up with weather warnings, the alerts were deactivated as of the 8.00 hours.
