Espanyol’s journey in A Coruña has not started on the right foot. Upon arrival in the Galician city, the bus had a setback when it got stuck in the Juana de Vega tunnel, located in the Plaza de Pontevedra, in the center of the city. The vehicle collided with its upper part against the roof, as reported by Galician media such as Opinión de Coruña and Ideal Gallego.
Around 2:30 p.m., the blue and white team bus got stuck and it was the Local Police who had to go to the scene to help the vehicle continue the march to Riazor.
Despite it being rush hour in the city of Coruña, the incident has not caused major traffic problems, since vehicles have continued to circulate more slowly.
Espanyol plays the first round of the Copa del Rey against San Tirso de Mabegonso. They do it at the Riazor stadium after it was handed over to them by Deportivo, a team that plays in the Second Division.
