The Government decree law that has validated the Congress of Deputiesthis Wednesday, for change the number of RTVE councilors and modify the necessary majorities who will appoint them has inaugurated a new stage in the public entity. From now on, said organization will have eleven councilors appointed by the Lower House and four, by the Senate. In this way, the party – or block – that has a majority in Congress will have the capacity to impose it and ensure certain related public television and radio.
For example, a button. In parallel with the vote on the royal decree, the deadline set by the Congress Board so that the different groups could register their councilor proposals. The Socialist Party (PSOE), Sumar, Esquerra Republicana (ERC), Junts per Catalunya, the Basque Nationalist Party (PNV) and Podemos have presented a joint list which, a priori, will have no problems being approved by the Lower House as it has the support of the investiture majority. Councilors proposed by the PSOE
– José Pablo López. Proposed by the PSOE, López was Director of General Content of RTVE between May 2022 and March 2024, when he was precisely dismissed by the entity’s Board of Directors due to the controversy after the signing of David Broncano. – Esther de la Mata. This is one of the political proposals on the list. De la Mata has been communications director of the Ministry of the Presidency, Justice and Relations with the Courts in two stages. Currently it is. Previously, he served as a member of the Board of Directors of the EFE Agency and was a Technical Advisor in the General Directorate of Communication. He also worked in the City Council and in the Madrid Assembly.
– Angelica Rubio. She is currently director of elplural.com and the company that publishes said media. Rubio worked as a journalist in several newspapers and radio stations, assuming management positions in some of them. In addition, she has participated and participates as a political analyst in several television programs such as Red HotThe Sixth Night, It’s Better Late or Liarla Pardo.

She lived her most political stage as a councilor in the Seville City Council in which she held a PSOE position as an independent. – Martha Ribas. She has been a deputy in the Parliament of Catalonia between 2012 and 2020 representing Esquerra Verda.
