The DANA that is affecting the Valencian Community, Castilla-la Mancha, Andalusia and Aragon since this Tuesday; but with special virulence to the province of Valencia, it has already left at least 70 fatalities and several missing. This devastating situation has had consequences – among others – on infrastructure, which means that travel has to be avoided.
This event has led Valencia to request the suspension of the match scheduled for this Saturday at Mestalla against Real Madrid (9:00 p.m.). The team that has already officially requested it from LaLiga, which is studying this request and is also keeping an eye on Levante-Málaga next Monday.
The request comes shortly after the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) has decided to postpone the Copa del Rey matches that the Valencian Community teams were due to play this Wednesday. Valencia faced Parla Escuela and Levante faced Pontevedra. The first has been postponed until Wednesday the 6th and the second, to Thursday the 7th.
The judge has also adopted the same measure for the Ejea-Hércules on Thursday. At the same time, it has been agreed that it will be done on Wednesday the 6th at 8:00 p.m. Manises-Getafe will not be played this Thursday either.
For its part, LaLiga has informed before receiving this request from the Valencia team that a minute of silence will be observed in all matches of this upcoming First and Second Division matchday.
