This is what she explained in an extensive statement on her Instagram profile, where the performer explained the birth of this song, the reason why she had to do without it at the time and the reason why she now has decided to give this gift to his audience.
“On January 9, 2014, I was happily climbing the stairs of a plane heading to the Kensaltown studios in London. With me I had 10 songs under my arm which I had selected after many months of composition. “You can imagine the special energy of that moment,” he begins in his story.
Amaia remembers that “she was the first to arrive and the last to leave”, but that, before that, she asked the sound engineer to send her everything he had worked on. “I liked to get to the hotel, isolate myself from the world and start listening to what we had recorded that day. “Of all the songs I wrote, there was one that was probably not the best, but it captured me to such an extent that I recorded it, mixed it and mastered it like all the others, as if it were going to go on the album“, he alleges, referring precisely to Perfect Storm.
The singer assures that, due to her “stubbornness of wanting to make an album of 10 songs” she had to leave it out and that during the promotion of her work she assured that, although she had not included it in her album, it was a very special song. “Fans asked me to listen to it constantly, but I couldn’t do anything at that time. Years passed, 10 to be exact, and A month ago I found it in a file and I thought: ‘…and why not?’he continues.
