The Ministry of Labor has put on the table this Monday its “last offer” to reach an agreement on the reduction of working hours 37.5 hour work schedule, which includes as a novelty direct aid to microSMEs in low productivity sectors such as commerce and hairdressing. Yolanda Díaz’s department wants a “definitive” response from employers and unions on November 11 to unblock the negotiation and send the measure to the Congress of Deputies. “On the 11th the Government wants a yes or no”stressed the Secretary of State for Labor, Joaquín Pérez Rey, after the meeting held this Tuesday with CEOE, Cepyme, UGT and CCOO.
The approach put on the table this Tuesday by Labor adds to the already known proposals direct aid for companies with less than five workers in the commerce, hospitality, hairdressing, cleaning and agricultural sectors. Each company could receive up to 6,000 euros to improve their productivity. In total, the Government provides 350 million euros to finance these subsidies.
