Vogue’s new frame
Vogue stands out for its unmatched editorial talent. It is a magazine that exalts the stages of the world of fashion at a global and regional level. The team led by Karla Martínez de Salas, editorial director of Vogue Mexico and Latin America, has given a twist to the publication to make it more open and inclusive.
The latest editions have been characterized by exposing popular culture through the voice and perspective of Latin American artists. How can we forget the January 2019 cover, with Yalitzia Aparicio, the 2023 Day of the Dead Gala, and the new edition with Gael García Bernal, Diego Luna and Eiza González.
The biggest challenge, according to Martínez de Salas, in these 25 years of life in Mexico and Latin America, is that the “magazine not only translates content, but also has its own voice.” And among so many ways to tell stories, what better way to do it than with red-hot photographs.
