Pablo Fernandezorganizational secretary of Can and spokesperson for the formation, assures that he notified Yolanda Diaz ―”the person who could do something about it”― about accusations of sexist violence by Íñigo Errejón that appeared in a thread on the social network X (at that time, Twitter) in December 2023.
These are statements by Fernández that come in the midst of an earthquake due to the Errejón scandal, which began at the end of last week with a series of anonymous messages published on the journalist’s Instagram Cristina You Will Fail in which they are told episodes of sexist violence by the former spokesperson for the Plurinational Group Sumar, who continued with his resignation and, later, with a judicial complaint from the actress and presenter Elisa Mouliáa in which a scene of alleged sexual assault.
As the hours go by, other testimonies have appeared, in this case, anonymous ones about other episodes of sexist violence from Errejón himself also on the journalist’s Instagram account.
One of the great discussions opened in the media in recent days has to do with the responsibility from each of the formations in which Errejón has held organic or institutional positions, who claim not to have noticed all the behavior that has been known in recent hours. It is also under the spotlight the effectiveness of action protocols in cases of sexual harassment or assaultwhich in some cases, such as that of Addare still in the approval process.
