The President of the Government, Pedro Sanchezha denied having met or spoken with businessman Víctor de Aldamaconsidered as the achiever of Koldo caseafter a photograph was published this Sunday in which both appear posing together at a PSOE electoral event in 2019.
“I have not exchanged a word with this man, I have never sat or met with this man neither formally nor informally,” he indicated in a conversation with journalists, including the Efe agency, on a technical stopover in Muscat (Oman), before continuing his trip to India with a delegation that includes his wife, Begoña Gómezand the Ministers of Transport, Oscar Puenteand Industry, Jordi Hereu.
Aldama, currently in preventive detention for alleged fraud in the hydrocarbon sector, constitutes a key figure of the alleged corrupt plot that the National Court is investigating in the framework of the case of Koldo García, advisor to former minister José Luis Ábalos, who is also being investigated. In fact, Ábalos is on the verge of a possible accusation in the Supreme Court – he is a deputy and, therefore, qualified – as the judge considers that he played a “main role in the network” that businessman Víctor de Aldama supposedly created and that He would have profited from the sale of masks.
Regarding the photo published this Sunday by the newspaper The World, in which Sánchez poses with Aldama in February 2019 during the presentation of Pepu Hernández’s candidacy for the socialist primaries to the Madrid city council, snapshot taken by Koldo García, has downplayed its importance and has insisted that he takes thousands of photos with people who attend his events.

What Sánchez does interpret as a result of the publication of that photograph with Aldama is that “the right is desperate trying to connect with a man with whom I have not had a relationship,” he reiterated.
In this sense, the leader of the PP has received the image of Sánchez together with Aldama as an incentive and has demanded that the President of the Government appear at a press conference to explain what kind of relationship he had with him, to end his “ordeal”, resign and “leave now.”
