He PSOE of Extremadura has offered its support to a woman who claims to be a victim of a case of alleged sexual violence by a politician from Badajoz after attending an event of that formation in 2019, facts reported by journalist Cristina Fallarás in an anonymous complaint on Instagram.
According to the testimony, which does not indicate the identity of the politician, the events occurred after the woman attended the celebration at the Congress Palace of the capital of Badajoz for the 140th anniversary of the PSOE and the attacked had a sexual relationship after being invited to the aggressor’s home.

The PSOE of Extremadura explains in a statement that it has contacted Cristina Fallarás to inform the complainant that she has the support and assistance of the party, “not only to manage the complaint internally, but also to provide you with the psychological and emotional support you need.
“As soon as we became aware of these events, the Ministry of Equality activated all the necessary internal mechanisms to provide support to any woman who wishes to report an act of abuse or sexual violence. We offer all guarantees so that you can do so safely and if you wish, preserving your identity,” the statement states.
The PSOE of Extremadura, in any of its territorial areas, has stressed, it must always be “a space free of sexist violence, harassment and sexual violence”, a “place of coexistence and respect.”
“As a socialist and feminist party, we are committed to ensuring that our headquarters and work spaces are safe and equal environments for all people,” he added.
Furthermore, he has called “unacceptable and miserable” that this issue be used as a partisan tool, since “that diverts the focus from what is truly important: the victims.”
“Minimize their needs, as the PP has done, discourages women from reporting and perpetuates a climate of silence and impunity, something we deeply regret,” he added.
He has thus referred to the statements made by the PP of Extremadura in his profile in X, where he has stated that “These behaviors must be condemned and banished”and that he hopes that the PSOE of Extremadura “opens an investigation to clarify the facts and take the appropriate measures.”
