The Israeli Police and Emergency services announced this Sunday that at least 35 people have been hospitalized, six of them in serious conditionwhen they were hit by a truck north of the city of Tel Aviv.
The incident occurred near the City Glilot cinema where “a truck ran over several people who were near a bus stop,” according to security forces.
The Glilot area, near Herzliya, is home to the headquarters of the Israeli foreign intelligence service, the Mossad, along with those of several intelligence units of the Israeli Army, including the prominent signals intelligence group, Unit 8200.
Many of the injured were retirees, part of a group visiting a nearby museum.
The police spokesperson, Aryeh Doronhas informed the newspaper ‘Yedioth Aharonoth’ that the security forces are investigating what happened as a possible Palestinian attack and that The truck driver has been “neutralized”a term commonly used to describe an incapacitated or dead aggressor due to shots fired by several witnesses to the incident.

At first, the Israeli ambulance service, Magen David Adom, indicated that “dozens of emergency medical technicians and paramedics are already providing medical treatment to dozens of victims” at the scene before its director, Eli Binwill provide the initial estimate.
The injured evacuated have been transferred to the hospitals of Beilinson (in Petah Tikva) and Ichilov (in Tel Aviv) while the rest have received care at the scene, where there are still an unknown number of people trapped by the collision.
