The drink that detoxifies the liver and makes the skin glow: just one cup a day is enough

There is a large number of infusions that can be beneficial for health, but there is one, less known, that has some surprising results, according to a health expert.

Jennifer Temple has 566,000 followers on TikTokand through a video on his profile, he revealed that there is an infusion that can help detoxify the liver and even make the skin glow.

“Drink a cup of this every day for a week to help cleanse your liver, give you a boost of energy and reduce toxins from your body, just like a mini detox. “It’s very soft, by the way,” says the influencer.

“This herb that benefits the liver is called milk thistle and this is the ground version and these are the whole seeds. Personally, I like to grind them and this is why; “I found that if you pre-ground the milk thistle seeds, you don’t have to soak them for a long time,” she explains.

“It’s not even really a recipe because it’s so simple, just take a cup of boiling water and add a teaspoon of ground seeds of milk thistle, so I have a little spice grinder and I just grind the seeds in there, but it’s okay if you don’t have a grinder, you can use just a teaspoon of whole seeds,” Temple continues.

“Let it sit for at least 10 minutes and drink it once a day. Don’t be surprised if you notice that your skin looks much brighter and healthier after a week,” says the influencer.

Milk thistle is often promoted for its liver protective effects and is often used by people who have liver damage due to conditions such as alcoholic liver disease, non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, hepatitis, and even liver cancer.

Although more research is needed on how it works, milk thistle is believed to reduce liver damage caused by free radicals, which are produced when the liver metabolizes toxic substances. A 2021 study showed improvements in liver function in people with non-alcoholic fatty liver disease who took a milk thistle supplement, suggesting it could help reduce inflammation and liver damage.

Due to its antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects, milk thistle may also be a useful supplement for people with acne.
