The audiovisual installation in the center of Madrid arouses sympathy and criticism on social networks
After the European euphoria unleashed and once the trauma of Bayern Munich has been overcome, Barça is already thinking about another high-profile duel such as the classic this Saturday (9:00 p.m.) at the Santiago Bernabéu. To inflame the rivalry, the Blaugrana club shared a video on its social networks on Thursday night that has not generated all kinds of reactions.
It is an audiovisual montage in which a giant covered display case appears in front of Madrid’s Puerta del Sol. At the moment what is underneath is revealed, a Barça shirt appears. In the background, simulated cheers and applause can be heard. The image is accompanied by the text “Puerta del Sol. Bona nit, Madrid…” and the mention of Coldplay and Spotify.
The British band has been chosen on this occasion to appear on the jersey for the match against Real Madrid. Coldplay reacted to the publication with two blue and scarlet hearts. The networks quickly filled with favorable and critical comments about the video. Many believed that the computer-generated image was real.
The video is partly reminiscent of the huge canvas that Joan Laporta displayed in the center of the Spanish capital during the campaign for the Barça elections with an image of him and the message “look forward to seeing you again.” A very striking campaign that did not leave anyone indifferent.
