The PSOE shows its concern after the resignation of Sumar’s spokesperson in Congress, Íñigo Errejón, and given the information that is being published, according to socialist sources, which assure that the party will “always be with the victims of sexist violence.”
Thus, from the PSOE, partner in the coalition government with Sumar, they assure that they are in favor of a “feminist policy that acts harshly against those who exercise this type of violence.”
From Ferraz they leave like this at the pace of Errejón’s resignation announced this Thursday in which he confirms that he is leaving the position of spokesperson, resigning from his seat in the Lower House and leaving politics.
In a letter published on their networks social workers details that he has been involved in a personal process and psychological support for some time, for which he needs to stop and take care of himself after occupying front-row positions in politics for a decade. Furthermore, he is enigmatic, alluding to the “toxic subjectivity of men and patriarchy” and hopes to repair mistakes with his departure.
Subsequently, Sumar indicated that opened a process to collect information regarding the accusations on networks against Errejón, for inappropriate behavior with women, and has reported that this morning he presented his resignation, which has been accepted unanimously.
