illycaffè, the international coffee brand has just presented its new illy Art Collectionhand in hand with the artists Simone Fattal (Syria), Shirin Neshat (Iran), Monica Bonvicini (Italy) and Binta Diaw (Milanese of Senegalese origin).
These four artists have used the illycaffè cup as if it were a blank canvas and, through the language of art, they have highlighted urgent cultural, environmental and social problemssharing their experiences as women from diverse geographical and social backgrounds.
This collaboration comes to complete the illy Art Collectionconverted since 1992 in one of the largest contemporary art collections in the worldthrough which numerous internationally renowned artists have transformed an everyday object, such as a coffee cup, into a canvas.
Art Basel Paris
The exclusive blend by illy has been the protagonist in all the meeting points of Art Basel Paris, both visitors and exhibitors have been able to taste it during the fair.
In addition to the illy lounge, where A selection of 130 of their iconic illy Art Collection mugs from the last 30 years have been on display. The space also offers a visual and tactile experience, with the constant aroma of coffee as the protagonist.
