Hours later, Deportivo responded forcefully denying that any robbery had occurred in Riazor, neither this Saturday nor in the 80-year history of the stadium. “Given the serious accusations made by CD Eldense after the match played this Saturday at the ABANCA-RIAZOR stadium, RC Deportivo categorically denies that such events took place in its facilities. “There is no basis to support these accusations, which the club considers unfounded and completely far from reality,” he noted.
The A Coruña team gave its version of the events. “RC Deportivo was the first to report the alleged situation to the police authorities, and the security protocols applied do not confirm the veracity of the facts reported by CD Eldense,” he stated in his statement.
“The club expresses its deep indignation at these accusations. In the 80-year history of the Stadium, an incident of this nature had never occurred. “RC Deportivo is collaborating with the competent authorities and will ensure that the investigation reaches its final consequences, reserving any legal action against CD Eldense that may take place,” he added.
