Giancarlo Magalli against Fabio Fazio: “I helped him by recommending him”
Giancarlo Magalli takes a few pebbles off his shoe by criticizing Fabio Fazio for never having invited him to What’s the weather like?.
Interviewed by Who on the occasion of the release of his book, Fantastic in which he retraces his career while also revealing several anecdotes, the host reveals that he has launched numerous talents into the world of TV: “Let’s say that I have helped many people, from Vanessa Incontrada to Fabio Fazio up to Massimo Troisi. I’m not Pippo Baudo but I’ve helped a lot of them come out.”
Among these is Fabio Fazio, who Magalli says made his debut as an impersonator in the program Hello, Raffaellaof which he was the author. “I sent it to Raffaella Carrà. She didn’t want those she didn’t know but I told her he was good and that she would like it.”
“I was the author of Hello, Raffaella? and he was good at imitating non-inflated characters, so I included him in the program. Then he was very humble, he brought me biscuits from Savona to thank me.”
The host, however, throws a dig at his colleague, accusing him of not being grateful towards him: “Now he has done six thousand episodes of Che tempo che fa, he has had ten thousand guests and he has only invited me once”.
