Until Dawn, from consoles to the big screen
For those who don’t know, Until Dawn is an interactive horror narrative adventurewhere we take control of eight boys and girls who find themselves living a nightmarish night on an isolated cabin on Blackwood Mountain trying to survive monstrous creatures. Like other games of this type, there is a “butterfly effect” system of choices, where the player’s decisions and actions can drastically change the unfolding of the adventure, the fate of the characters and the ending. The game was published in 2015 on PS4 and a remastered version was recently released on PS5 and PC, here is our review.
At the moment, no precise details about the plot of the film are known. It will probably follow the events of the original game, but clearly with the necessary changes to make the story attractive even without being able to pivot on the choice system of the Supermassive Games title. In addition to Until Dawn, they are in the works also other shows based on PlayStation Studios IPssuch as Horizon, God of War, Ghost of Tsushima and Days Gone.
