The Swiss Foreign Ministry announced the cancellation of the visit of Ukrainian Prime Minister Shmygal
The official visit of Prime Minister of Ukraine Denis Shmygal to Switzerland was canceled due to force majeure reasons. About this reports Keystone-ATS agency with reference to the Swiss Foreign Ministry.
The politician’s trip was planned for October 16, but the Foreign Ministry announced it on Monday, October 14. The reasons for its cancellation are not specified.
It was assumed that Shmygal would take part in an international conference on mine clearance in Ukraine, organized jointly by Kiev and Bern. It will take place in Lausanne on October 17-18. A joint press conference with Swiss President Viola Ahmerd was also planned.
Earlier, Daria Zarivnaya, adviser to the head of the office of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, announced the cancellation of the second “peace summit” on Ukraine in November. She assumed it would pass later. According to her, thematic conferences are currently being held on each point of the “peace formula”. A few days later, Zelensky again announced his intention to hold the event in November.
