Mexico City.- The Secretary of Security and Citizen Protection, Omar García Harfuch, traveled to Quintana Roo to talk with the Governor of the entity, Mara Lezama, about the security strategy that will be implemented in the territory.
According to the Quintana Roo president, the proposed model is similar to that released in other states.
This, Lezama detailed, is based on four axes: attention to the causes, consolidation of the federal security forces, strengthening of intelligence and investigation, and absolute coordination between the Security Cabinet and with the federal entities. At the meeting with Harfuch, he stated, representatives of the Armed Forces were present.
“They are in #QuintanaRoo, our Secretary of Security and Citizen Protection, @OHarfuch and the Secretary of the Navy, Admiral, Raymundo Pedro Morales Ángeles @AlmiranteSrio, presenting the national security strategy and its state application, a joint priority between governments and powers of the state,” Lezama posted in X.
The governor also announced the arrival of more elements to pay for security tasks. “We welcome the federal tactical forces that join the work of pacification and peacebuilding in our state,” he said.
