Over multiple generations, the name of Nobuo Uematsu has positioned itself as one of the most important in the video game industry, especially for those who love JRPGs. With almost 40 years working in this medium, it was inevitable to hear that one day the person responsible for compositions like Tifa’s Theme, Not Alone, Fisherman’s Horizon, and many more songs, had to retire.
Through a new video promoting the launch of Fantasian Neon Dimension, Nobuo Uematsu himself has confirmed that the re-release of the acclaimed Mistwalker game has become the last game he worked on as composer. This is what he commented:

For now It is unknown if Uematsu plans to compose more music outside of video games.or if this marks the definitive end of his long career. No matter what the answer, Uematsu leaves behind a long legacy that is impossible to ignore.
