RIA Novosti: Ukrainian prisoner of war spoke about the recruitment of 59-year-old men into the Ukrainian Armed Forces
A Ukrainian prisoner of war, whose name has not been released, spoke about recruiting “everyone in a row” into the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). He is quoted by the agency RIA Novosti.
The man said that in Ukraine “everyone in a row” is recruited into the army, even 59-year-old men. “People can no longer walk normally, and they can’t fight. Where should they fight? he said in a video released by the agency.
The prisoner of war added that Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers are treated like meat and are thrown to the front line without explanation.
Earlier, another Ukrainian Armed Forces fighter said that he was attacked by a Ukrainian drone during his surrender. He added that they wanted to destroy them, not save them, and this was the turning point for him.
