The approach to the penultimate Round of the 2024 season at home begins positively Lowes. Alex and Sam, who both compete in Superbike in different teams, will in fact be able to regularly participate in the weekendEstoril after they were both declared ‘fit’ by the doctors following the injuries sustained in Aragon two weeks ago.
Alex, Sam’s twin brother and #22 of Kawasaki, was unable to take part in Race 2 in Spain after crashing early in the Superpole Race. Running wide in turn 1, the Briton lost control of the bike after a highside, resulting in a crash contusion on the left calf and a hematoma. Lowes will enter the Estoril event with 11 podiums in total, including victories at Phillip Island in the Superpole Race and Race 2.
Making his debut in Superbike this year and sure to continue his adventure in this category after the recent renewal with Marc VDS, Sam he had to face some phases of the current season in the pits due to injuries. The last one, again in Aragon, at left shouldersuch as to force him not to take part in the Superpole Race and Race 2. The Briton will therefore be able to return to the track at the second round in Portugal (after Portimao) with 45 points gained so far.
