A patrol began to be on duty in Odessa after the rally with the Russian flag
In Odessa, a patrol was stationed in the square after the rally with the Russian flag. The mayor of the city, Gennady Trukhanov, announced this in his Telegram-channel.
This happened after a woman attempted to hang the Russian flag on the pedestal of the demolished monument to Russian Empress Catherine II. Trukhanov said that this is not the first such case in this place. “Therefore, I made a decision: an evening post, a mobile post of the municipal guard, will be installed on European Square,” said the Odessa mayor.
On October 8, a woman tried to hang a Russian flag on the European Square in Odessa, where a monument to Catherine II previously stood. A criminal case was opened against the woman. The detainee faces up to three years in prison.
