David Pittard dominated the GT World Challenge Europe Pre-Qualifying from the first laps, with the Sprint Cup protagonists completing the last 60 minutes of activity on the track under a beautiful hot sun in Barcelona.
The British representative of Comtoyou Racing immediately took the lead with the Aston Martin #21 which he shares with Matisse Lismont in 1’41″680, standing out overall and in the GOLD CUP Class, beating the Mercedes #48 of Winward Racing with which Engel/Auer will try to win the PRO title.
Behind the AMG in ‘Mamba’ livery is the Audi #99 of Tresor Attempto Racing of the Aka/Feller duo, with the Mercedes #9 of Boutsen VDS which, after leading in the morning Free Practice, closes with the fourth fastest time less than 0″3 from the top.

Good Top5 for the McLaren #159 of Garage 59, with the Audi #6 of Team Engstler – second GOLD – and the Ferrari #69 of Emil Frey Racing behind.
Eighth place for the Porsche #96 of Rutronik Racing, the Ferrari #71 of AF Corse also did well and took the lead in the SILVER CUP Class, while the overall Top10 was completed by the Lamborghini #78 of Barwell Motorsport, the fastest in the BRONZE CUP category and thus placing one car from each category among the top ten and less than half a second behind the leader.
The WRT BMWs are behind: you have to drop to 18th place to find the #30 M4 entered in the SILVER CUP Class, the #32 of the championship leaders Weerts/Vanthoor is only 27th.
Saturday includes Qualifying 1 at 9.45am, with Race 1 set for 2.00pm.
