Red Dead Redemption is finally coming to PC. As we had already reported, Rockstar Games’ open-map action game will be released on computers on October 29th. Now, it is possible to pre-purchase and this confirms what the price of the game is: €49.99.
It’s about the same amount offered on the other platformsalthough at the time of writing on the PlayStation Store you can find it on sale. Additionally, the game is included in GTA+ at no additional cost.
Details on Red Dead Redemption for PC
Red Dead Redemption in PC version is now available for pre-order via various platforms, viz Steam, Epic Games Store and the Rockstar website. Inside there is both the base game and the Undead Nightmare expansion, which can be played as an independent episode from the main narrative campaign.
It took about a year for PC players to also jump into Red Dead Redemption, if we count from the release of the PS4 and Nintendo Switch versions of the game. If you want to count since the release of the original version, the wait was 14 years.
Let’s remember that Red Dead Redemption is the second chapter of the Red Dead saga (the first is Red Dead Revolver). Narratively it is unrelated to the first chapter, while it is a sequel to Red Dead Redemption 2. Yes, it’s complicated. Just know that if you have played RDR2, you can jump into this “new” game knowing that it will be set a few years later. However, don’t expect to find all the mechanics you know.
Among other things, Red Dead Redemption’s PC requirements are higher than those of Red Dead Redemption 2.
