There will be 12 events for the 2025 World Superbike Championship. This morning, in fact, Dorna and the FIM made official the calendar for the next season which, as is now tradition, will start from Phillip Island, on the weekend of 21-23 February, which will be preceded by two official test days on 17 and 18 February.
As has already happened this season, the Australian round will be the only round outside of Europe and to follow it there will be more than a month’s break before starting the “continental” campaign, which will begin between 28 and 30 March in Portimao.
In mid-April it will be the turn of Assen, in the Netherlands, while in the first weekend of May there will be the first of the two Italian events: it is the one in Cremona, which therefore changes its position in the calendar, given that this season it went on stage in September. The one in Misano, however, remains in its traditional mid-June window. And to space out the two rounds at home, there is the one in Most, in the Czech Republic, set for the weekend of 16-18 May.
In mid-July it is the turn of Donington Park, while on 27 July there will be another opportunity for Balaton Park, which should have already made its debut in 2024. On the Hungarian track, however, the approval is still pending, even if there is confidence that it will arrive in good time. Not surprisingly, it has also been included in the 2025 MotoGP calendar.
After Hungary there will be a summer break of over a month and we will start again at the beginning of September from Magny-Cours, another great classic on the series derivatives calendar. The grand finale will then be entirely on the Iberian peninsula, with three rounds in the space of four weeks which will be held in Aragon, Estoril and Jerez, confirmed as the grand finale on 19 October. However, the Andalusian track has yet to officially renew its contract, but this shouldn’t be a problem either.
