One year before the election, the traffic light coalition is not doing well with the population. Nevertheless, there were slight gains for two of the three partners.
Berlin – In the “ARD-Germany Trend”, two parties were able to record an increase. It also becomes clear that many people are not satisfied with the work of the traffic light government. The Union also suffered losses, but remains the strongest force with 31 percent. The AfD remains unchanged at 17 percent, making us the second strongest force.
The SPD recorded a slight increase of one percent and now has 16 percent. This makes the Chancellor’s party the third strongest force. The Greens were also able to gain two percentage points and are the fourth strongest force with 13 percent. The BSW would enter the Bundestag with eight percent if there were a federal election on Sunday.
FDP losers in the survey – SPD and Greens gain
The loser in the current survey is the FDP. In the current German trend, the Liberals only have three percent instead of the previous four percent. Finance Minister Christian Lindner’s party would fail at the five percent hurdle and be thrown out of the Bundestag.
According to the survey, satisfaction with the federal government has increased slightly overall. 19 percent of those surveyed – three percentage points more than in September – are satisfied or even very satisfied with the work of the traffic light coalition. 43 percent are less satisfied with the federal government (plus six points), 36 percent are not at all satisfied (minus eleven points). The majority of supporters of the AfD (100 percent), the BSW (93 percent) and the Union (88 percent) are dissatisfied. The majority of SPD supporters (53 percent) are also dissatisfied with the work of their own party.
Survey confirms – SPD politician Pistorius is the most popular top politician
