“We have filed PL 3747/2024, which amends Law No. 9,504, to establish the mandatory transmission of electoral debates in prime time”the congresswoman wrote in her profile on Instagram this Thursday (October 10, 2024).
Zambelli says Brazil suffers “censorship and lack of freedom” and that “nothing can be expressed”. The PL was presented by the congresswoman on September 27, 2024.
The document presented by the deputy states that the obligation to broadcast debates from 8pm to 10pm is to ensure that the majority of the population, especially the working classes, can have access to information when they are at home, available to follow the discussions.
“This measure promotes true democratic inclusion, by allowing the electorate, regardless of their socioeconomic condition or geographic location, to have equal access to information about the candidates”declared in the PL.
