Renault with the new brand Mobilize launches the small and innovative micro-commercial vehicle on the market Bento 100% electric, heir to Twizy. It can be used by couriers and professionals operating in the urban areasespecially in the centre, and must make deliveries within limited traffic areas.
Electric van for restricted traffic zones
Bento is a single-seater micro-vehicle 100% electricdesigned with 50% recycled materials, with an autonomy of 149km and a maximum speed of 80 km/h. Silent and electric, it allows access to limited traffic areas.
The 48V electric motor, based on Renault’s advanced technology, derives from Renault’s mild hybrid powertrain Renault Austral and is powered by a 10.3 kWh NMC batterywhich corresponds to a module of the battery used on the Renault 5 E-Tech Electric.
Bento is equipped with a integrated cable for home charging via a standard socket type E+F. An optional cable is also available Mode 3 with Type 2 socketsuitable for public and corporate charging stations.
In an hour of charging on a home socket, Bento recovers 25 km of autonomy. For a charge from 20 to 80% (about 120 km), they are needed 3 hours and 50 minutes with domestic socket or 3 hours and 25 minutes with Type 2 socket.
Bento presents compact dimensions (2.43 m long and 1.30 m wide) which reduce the overall dimensions by 50% compared to traditional city cars. This facilitates parking and sharing city space. The turning circle of 6.80 meters ensures excellent maneuverability.
The design is characterized by simplicity, robustness and technology. The vehicle is easy to drive, durable for urban use and equipped with a futuristic design and integrated connectivity. The doors to elytra opening they improve urban use, allowing you to exit easily without risk to other road users. The interior is essential and intuitive, with simple controlsboombox dashboard and smartphone connectivity.
The bodywork it is not paintedbut customizable with stickers and “Camo” textures to hide scratches. Tandem seats are washable and the interior delivers 300 litres of space for storage compartments.
Load capacity
The useful volume is 1 m3 (80 kg payload and 649 litres). Furthermore, the integrated connectivity allows the monitoring real-time vehicle data and management company fleetsincluding access and initiation via digital key via smartphone to facilitate vehicle rotation.
Connectivity via My Duo app
Bento connectivity is simple and integrated, managed via theMyDuo App (Android and iOS), which allows you to track the order of the vehicle, use a digital key to open/close the vehicle and share it up with 6 users. The App also provides real-time information on charging, autonomy and geolocation of the vehicle.
For professional operators, Mobilize offers fleet management services such as Smart Sharing for reservations and digital keys, Geofencing to limit circulation areas, e Battery Charge Inhibition to block charging in case of improper use.
Price, how much does the Bento microvan cost
The price of Bento is 12,900 euros (VAT included) and is also available with different financing solutions. The name of the version on sale is Bento 80 Pro.
The microvan falls into the category of quadricycles L7 (heavy) and according to the Highway Code can reach 80 km/h and requires the B1 driving licence. Although quadricycle regulations require less safety equipment, the Bento comes with airbags as standard.
