A wounded roe deer calf was rescued in the Kushnarenkovsky district of Bashkortostan
A wounded roe deer calf that walked on three legs was rescued in Bashkortostan. This is reported by “Bashinform”.
The animal was found in the Kushnarenkovsky district of the Russian region and taken for examination, as a result of which multiple chronic fractures of the hind limb were revealed. The head of the Pin and Poof wild animal rehabilitation center, Dmitry Strelnikov, said that they had decided not to operate on the animal for now.
“For now, the decision has been made not to carry out the operation, but to observe and go through a quarantine period. The baby stands on three limbs, eats and goes to the toilet with a formed stool. Return to natural habitat is impossible,” he concluded.
In September, a cat who had been sitting on a tree for three days was rescued in Ufa. The animal, which had climbed to a height of six meters, was noticed by a city resident while walking in the yard.
