Ducati is already at work at the Estoril Circuit, in Portugal, for the eleventh round of the 2024 WorldSBK season.
Nicolò Bulega aims to reduce the 39-point deficit to world ranking leader Razgatlioglu (BMW) and extend the title fight until next weekend in Jerez de la Frontera which will close the season.
Also still in the running is Alvaro Bautista who in 2022 achieved a first and a second place in Race-1 and Race-2 on the Portuguese circuit, finishing on the podium (P3) also in the Superpole Race. The disadvantage of the reigning World Champion compared to the leader of the standings is 81 points.
As regards the Manufacturers’ title, however, Ducati starts from an advantageous position (+42) over BMW.
Same situation with an even wider gap for the team classification which sees Aruba.it Racing – Ducati leading by 96 points over Rokit BMW.

Nicolò Bulega, 39 points behind Razgatlioglu and second in the World Championship, declared: “I hope I can be as fast on this circuit as I felt I was in Aragon where, however, unfortunately, we lost significant points. For this reason I don’t want to set myself any goals other than that of being very competitive and obtaining results that can also contribute to very important goals such as the Manufacturers’ Title and the Team Title which are very important for Ducati and Aruba Racing.”
These are the words of Alvaro Bautista, who is far from the top but not yet condemned by mathematics: “It’s a circuit that I like and on which we had some good races. The feeling in Aragon was excellent but here everything will be different , including the weather conditions. The championship? As long as the numbers offer possibilities it’s clear that there is always hope but I have to confess that I’m not thinking about having fun on the bike.
