After the summer break, the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europa is preparing to resume where it left off last July, on the occasion of the most recent round of the Nürburgring.
The single-make championship reserved for the Huracán Super Trofeo EVO2 restarts its engines this weekend (11-13 October) in Barcelona, for the fifth of the six events of a record season, which saw the maximum number of 52 cars at the start at the first two stages in Imola and Spa and will end in mid-November in Jerez de la Frontera, on the occasion of the Lamborghini World Finals.
On the 4.6 km of the Montmeló circuit, which after two years returns to host the cars of the Sant’Agata Bolognese company, there will be three races scheduled. The last of which recovers the one that should have been held on Saturday at Le Mans, admitting only the drivers registered on the circuit de la Sarthe to the start and maintaining the original lineup defined by the second qualifying session which took place on the French track.
#28 BDR Competition by Grupo Prom, Lamborghini ST EVO2: Amaury Bonduel
Bonduel Pro leader with four successes
In the Pro class, Amaury Bonduel will be the one to present himself in front of everyone in Barcelona. The Belgian from the BDR Competition by Grupo Prom team monopolized the Spa weekend after obtaining another victory in Imola, while at the Nürburgring he reduced the number of successes and now leads the standings with 76.5 points.
With a gap of just 7.5 points, the Target Racing pairing of Largim Ali and Oliver Söderström follows, who opened the season by scoring in the first race at Santerno. A victory so far also for Mattia Michelotto, who won at Le Mans with the colors of the VSR team, and Egor Orudzhev, who achieved his first success in the Sant’Agata Bolognese company’s single-brand championship with the ART-Line precisely in the most recent race at the Nürburgring.
A success that the Germans Sebastian Balthasar and Jacob Riegel also certainly aspire to, a couple of times on the podium with the Leipert Motorsport team and third in the championship, collected in just six points with Hampus Ericsson (Target Racing), the Iron Lynx duo composed by Giorgio Amati and Jesse Salmenautio, Michelotto himself and the Oregon Team duo formed by Leonardo Caglioni and Enzo Geraci. Finally, an absolute novelty will be the debut of Diego Di Fabio, who will alternate with Lucas Valkre in a DL Racing car.

Formanek and Rosina aim to consolidate their lead in the Pro-Am
After repeating the victory in Imola at the Nürburgring, Bronek Formanek (two years ago in Barcelona who scored a double victory in the same class) and Stefan Rosina are leading the Pro-Am. The pairing of the Micanek Motorsport team powered by Buggyra currently leads with a margin of 18 and a half points over the Boutsen VDS crew made up of Renaud Kuppens and Roee Meyuhas, themselves authors of two successes again in Imola and then Spa.
Seven points further back are Claude-Yves Gosselin and Joran Leneutre (Iron Lynx). Occupying fourth position is Guido Luchetti, who will return to alternate with Calle Bergman on the Huracán Super Trofeo EVO2 of the Lamborghini Stüttgart by Target Racing team. Miloš Pavlović and Alessio Ruffini (ASR) complete the top five positions.
But also pay attention to Andrea Frassineti and Ignazio Zanon, who broke the ice in Spa by taking their first victory with the VSR team. A success also for Dimitri Enjalbert and Anthony Nahra, first at Le Mans with Pegasus Racing. All eyes will also be on New Zealander Brendon Leitch, 2023 Pro champion and on his return to the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Europe alongside American Anthony McIntosh in a Leipert Motorsport car.
In the AM breakaway tests for Randazzo and Tribaudini
With three successes, the one in Spa and the two at the Nürburgring, Piergiacomo Randazzo and Stéphane Tribaudini (VSR) are firmly in the lead in the Am. With a gap of 27.5 points and a victory in Belgium, Stéphan Guerin follows in the standings. The Frenchman from the Schumacher CLRT team in turn has half a point ahead of Huilin Han (Target Racing).
Just behind, with a gap of 3.5 points, is Nigel Bailly, who achieved his first success in Imola with the ART-Line team. A success also for Marco Gersager (GM Motorsport), who completes the top-5.

Maximum balance in the Lamborghini Cup
With the first three crews collected within just 2.5 points, the Lamborghini Cup confirms itself to be extremely balanced. In the lead are Paolo Biglieri and Petar Matić, with ASR scoring twice, at Spa and Le Mans. Half a length behind is Holger Harmsen (GT3 Poland), who won Race 1 in Belgium.
Two points behind is Shota Abkhazava (ART-Line), who is the driver who has achieved the most successes so far having won in Imola and achieved a double at the Nürburgring. A victory in Imola also for Charlie Martin, who will find John Seale at his side in the Iron Lynx car. In search of their first success are Luciano and Donovan Privitelio, father and son, at the start with the colors of Rexal Villorba Corse.
The weekend in Barcelona will kick off on Friday with two free practice sessions of one hour each. The two 20-minute qualifying rounds are scheduled for Saturday, while the first of the three 50-minute races will start at 4.50pm.
Race 2 will start on Sunday at 11.45am, with the third race (the one that recovers the Le Mans stage) at 4.50pm. All three races will be broadcast live on the Lamborghini Squadra Corse YouTube channel and live on Sky Sport.
