Movie review | This is how Trump grew into Trump, and the image is so ugly that they tried to prevent its distribution

Trump hosted the show for its first 14 seasons. The name of the Finnish version of the series is Deal.

Roy Cohn is The Apprentice – in the movie, a completely immoral person who tries to pursue only his own and his clients’ interests by circumventing the law and using all possible dirty means.

The film’s Trump turns out to be even worse than his apprentice.

He stands for democracy and American values, but is ready to violate all of these as needed. The film presents Cohn as exactly the kind of opportunist whose contribution fascism rises.

Young Trump at first, he is a little scornful of the complete ruthlessness of his new mentor, but in the end turns out to be Cohniak’s worst case by internalizing all of Cohn’s teachings over the years and finally turning against him.

In the case of such films, one must always be careful, because even if the bigger events are true, many things can be the invention or interpretation of the screenwriter.

At the end of the film, however, we see in Trump the big-mouthed egoist who believes in his own omnipotence, which the whole world knew during his presidency, or the current presidential election campaign.

To his potential biographer, Trump, who is aware of his power, lays out his philosophy exactly as he learned it years earlier from Cohn.

He has done From The Apprentice a very smooth film that follows a traditional narrative style, with both impact and a critical perspective.

Jeremy Strong has chosen to play Cohn without even changing his expression, which makes Cohn a frightening, almost psychopathic character. Even when he shows generosity or affection.

Sebastian Stan has studied Trump’s speaking style, but not so much his gestures. Stan acts well in himself, but somehow superficially.

Perhaps portraying Trump would have required a slightly bolder and more detached approach to the role.

At some point, the almost constant pouring out of the hits of the era from the film’s soundtrack starts to feel disturbing.
