Polat stated in a post on the X platform that he received, on Wednesday, a delegation of Emirati businessmen, headed by the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Dubai Chamber, Mohammed Ali bin Rashid Lootah.
He pointed out that the volume of bilateral trade between Türkiye and the UAE exceeded $20 billion during the past year, an increase of 107 percent, compared to the previous year.
He said: “Our primary goal, within the framework of the bilateral trade agreement and the comprehensive economic partnership, is to raise the trade volume to $40 billion within five years.”
The minister stressed that the two countries have great potential to establish new partnerships in various sectors such as energy, defense, vehicles, durable goods, medicine, green and digital industries.
He pointed out that the proactive role played by Turkish and Emirati companies could contribute significantly to deepening the cooperation of the two countries and achieving their commercial goals.
Polat stressed that enhancing cooperation between Türkiye and the UAE in various fields will contribute to creating new opportunities at the level of bilateral relations and at the regional level.
