Porto Velho, capital of Rondônia, elected 23 councilors to the City Council last Sunday (October 6, 2024), with terms of office from 2025 to 2028. The Republicans elected 4 candidates, being the largest group.
Of the 23 vacancies, 7 belong to candidates who were re-elected. The councilor with the most votes was Márcio Pacele (Republicans), with 4,692 votes. For mayor, Leo Moraes (Podemos) will compete in the 2nd round with Mariana Carvalho (União Brasil), supported by the current mayor of Porto Velho, Hildon Chaves (PSDB).
