THE Netflixa company in the streaming sector, has signed partnerships with 5 sponsors for the boxing event between Jake Paul and Mike Tyson, scheduled for November 15, 2024. The fight will take place at AT&T Stadium, in Arlington, Texas. The brands Celsius, DraftKings Sportsbook, Experian, Meta Quest and Spaten will act as presenting partners for the event and programming.
These brands will display their logos during the broadcast. Celsius and DraftKings Sportsbook will be on the ring mat, while Meta Quest, Experian and Spaten will be on the ropes. Additionally, there will be on-site activations and personalized social content to engage fans.
Magno Herran, vice president of global marketing partnerships at Netflix, highlighted that the presentation of sponsors will be done in an integrated manner during the event coverage. This coverage will include open training and weigh-ins, starting on October 7th.
The broadcast will feature special segments, such as “Essential Energy Highlight of the Fight” from Celsius and the “Tale of the Be”’ from DraftKings Sportsbook. It is worth noting that the latter will only be available in the USA. Meta Quest and Experian will offer pre-fight segments with in-depth information about the fighters.
This will be the 3rd major sporting event broadcast on Netflix, after the Netflix Cup and Netflix Slam golf tournaments. Additionally, the platform plans to stream 2 NFL games on Christmas Day, part of a 3-year deal.
Sponsorship agreements for the fight between Paul and Tyson can give an idea of the advertising inventory that Netflix offers. There are packages for sale for US$5 million. Additionally, Netflix will be the exclusive home of WWE’s Monday Night Raw starting in January 2025.
