Chihuahua, Chih.- The general secretary of Section 8, Eduardo Zendejas, reported that currently around 25 to 30 percent of the public schools in the federalized system in the state of Chihuahua do not have certainty of legality on their land.
He assured that around the state and especially in Ciudad Juárez, they have made notable progress regarding the deed, to avoid cases in which relatives of extinct grantees of school land claim them when they have already generated a capital gain in the sector, as already happened in said border.
He recognized the support of the State Government and representatives of the notary profession, to regularize the deeds of schools in different regions.
“We work so that each school has its writing so that tomorrow the heritage where our girls and boys study is not put at risk,” declared Zendejas Amparán.
The union leader explained that the system he represents at the state level has 4,000 schools, which means that from 1,000 to 1,200 schools in Chihuahua have irregular ownership of the land.
