Deputy Chairman of the Serbian Government Vulin: the threat to Vucic’s security remains
The threat of an assassination attempt on Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic from influential Western political circles remains. Deputy Prime Minister of Serbia Alexander Vulin accused the West of threatening the security of the Serbian leader in an interview magazine “National Defense”.
“It is well known that our president is an obstacle to many influential Western circles. For them, in principle, it is a very big problem that we have the opportunity to pursue an independent policy. They really don’t like this, they would like Serbia to become just some kind of territory within the European Union,” he said.
Vulin emphasized that the Serbian intelligence services are quite strong and professional, and promised to “save” the Serbian president.
Earlier, the Deputy Prime Minister of Serbia called Russian President Vladimir Putin one of the greatest leaders in the world and said that during the meeting with him, the Russian leader did not raise the topic of Belgrade’s purchase of French Rafale fighter jets.
