In the North Rhine-Westphalia state parliament, the CDU, SPD, Greens and FDP factions have finally agreed on a joint proposal for a parliamentary committee of inquiry into the terrorist knife attack in Solingen. In a joint statement from the four parliamentary group leaders late on Tuesday evening, it was said that the application for appointment should be on the agenda for one of the state parliament sessions in November. The joint statement said that the background to the terrorist attack must also be clarified in parliament and that lessons must be learned from the clarification. We owe that to the victims. “It’s good that we’re doing this together. We will put ourselves entirely at the service of the reappraisal.”
