In Kursk, the court sentenced former police officers for bribery
The Kirovsky District Court of Kursk sentenced former police officers for bribery. Lenta.ru was informed about this by the joint press service of the judicial system of the Kursk region.
According to the court, two former police officers received 300 and 250 thousand rubles as a bribe, of which they had to transfer 50 thousand rubles to department officials as a reward for mediation. Another police officer, who is currently being considered for dismissal, committed theft of someone else’s property through deception and abuse of trust. He received 250 thousand rubles from a colleague for further transfer as a bribe, but did not do this and disposed of them at his own discretion.
The court sentenced two former police officers to fines of 1.3 and 1.5 million rubles with deprivation of the right to hold positions in the public service for a period of three years. Another person involved in the case was given a fine of 300 thousand rubles and a ban on serving in law enforcement agencies for a period of two years.
Earlier it was reported that seven billion rubles were recovered from the defendants in the case of a record bribe in bitcoins.
