As per tradition, Halo Infinite dresses up for the arrival of Halloween, and does so with a series of obviously disturbing characterisations, themed with the general atmosphere of the occasion, thanks to the launch of Operation Halloweenanother of the operations provided within the game’s multiplayer which introduces the Survive the Undead mode and three themed maps.
In the aftermath of the announcement of the big news that lies ahead for the future of Halo, with the transition to Unreal Engine 5 and the establishment of Halo Studios, support for Halo Infinite continues and the new update is Operation Halloween, available from today until November 5th.
On the occasion of the event, several new contents were added to the multiplayer portion of Halo Infinite, with three maps, various events and modes and several rewards themed, to be conquered within the specific progression.
Halo Infinite in horror version
It all revolves around the Survive the Undead mode, which introduces horror elements into Halo Infinite, with the need to survive the attack of the living dead in progressive waves, in the style of Call of Duty’s Zombie mode.
The connections between the two titles emerge clearly in a new map, Night of the Undeadwhich is based on a reconstruction of Nacht Der Untoten from Call of Duty Zombies, transferred into Halo Infinite.
The other two maps, built in collaboration with The Forge Falcons, also authors of the Helljumpers mode, are Countdown of the Dead, a remix of Countdown from Halo: Reach, and Installation of the Dead, set in a Forerunner installation.
In addition to these, there is a Event Pass with 20 tiers divided into two tiers, focusing on rewards for the Mark VII and Chimera Armor Cores.
