US elections|As many as nine percent of registered Republican voters plan to vote for the Democratic candidate.
Stateside Democratic presidential candidate Terrible Harris is slightly Republican according to the latest opinion poll Donald Trump above, when the elections are four weeks away.
49 percent of registered voters would vote for Harris and 46 percent for Trump, according to a national poll conducted by Siena College and the New York Times. As late as mid-September, the competitors were level with 47 percent support.
The result is broadly in line with a survey by media company RealClearPolitics, which collects national opinion polls, that would have Harris leading by two percentage points.
However, in the seven swing states that are likely to determine the outcome of the election, the race is even tighter.
Electorate see Harris as caring about people like them and representing more change than Trump. Trump, on the other hand, is considered a stronger leader.
In recent weeks, Harris has been able to gather votes especially from Republicans. According to the survey, nine percent of Republicans plan to vote for him, while only five percent had the same thoughts the previous month.
