Watch (18sec):
The epicenter of Hurricane Milton is not expected to touch the continent, but the wind currents caused by the phenomenon could affect much of Florida. Evacuation orders were issued in several cities across the state. Schools and colleges will be closed.
The President of the United States, Joe Biden (Democratic Party), asked all residents of the region to leave the areas that will be hit by Hurricane Milton.
“If you have been ordered to evacuate, you must leave your home now. You should have evacuated by now. It’s a matter of life and death.”Biden said in an appeal to Floridians. He also stated that Hurricane Milton could be the “worst storm to hit Florida in over a century”.
