Mexico City.– After the disagreements that marked the relationship of the now former President Andrés Manuel López Obrador with the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation, the Government of Claudia Sheinbaum opened communication with Minister Norma Piña.
The President of the Senate, Gerardo Fernández Noroña, revealed that the Secretary of the Interior, Rosa Icela Rodríguez, and the coordinator of the Morena senators, Adán Augusto López, have established communication in recent days to bring the implementation of the reform to fruition. to the Judiciary.
“There is a dialogue from the Government headed by the Ministry of the Interior, and comrade Adán Augusto and a servant are helping on behalf of the Legislative Branch,” he explained. Fernández Noroña spoke for half an hour with the Minister President Norma Piña in a private room at the old parliamentary headquarters, prior to the commemoration of the 200 years of existence of the Senate.
In fact, the Minister occupied a seat next to the President on the Board of Directors.
“I simply say that there is communication, that there is dialogue and that there is an agreement to maintain the dialogue and this seems very important to me,” he explained. According to Fernández Noroña, there is a common concern to overcome the difficulties that have arisen after the approval of the reform of the Judicial Branch. “I am not saying that we have overcome them, I am not saying that we are going to overcome them, I am not saying that; I am saying that there is an agreement, even in the most difficult conditions, to maintain the dialogue. This is the central, initial agreement, And from then on, everything we can build seems to me to be very positive: we and the Judiciary are willing to look for points of agreement, and we will see if it is achieved,” he replied. “Who agreed to the agreement?” he was asked. “I already said that there has been a permanent dialogue between the Secretary of the Interior, Rosa Icela Rodríguez, our majority leader, Adán Augusto López, and myself. I would tell you that it is a good step that we have reestablished dialogue and communication, and that’s it. I don’t want to generate any expectations that are not met later. The issue is a transition process of the election of the judging people. We are at the beginning of reestablishing the dialogue and seeing if it is possible. let’s reach a transition agreement,” he said. “There is going to be communication and dialogue and what we can agree to go in a common way to the election of the judging people, we will do it. And if the Judiciary does not give up on the position, in the position that it has had until now, well, so It’s life.”
President Sheinbaum had said in the morning that if the Judiciary requested dialogue, it would be up to the Ministry of the Interior to attend to it.
