Police rescued a small injured mouse owl and delivered it to the Korkeasaari Wildlife Hospital on Tuesday.
The police were tasked to check the condition of the injured animal near the Olympic Stadium in Taka-Töölö at 11:30 am.
According to the situation center of the Helsinki police, an owl was found at the scene leaning on a fence, which did not try to run away when approached.
“The owl was apparently in a bit of an angry mood and tried to scratch when they tried to catch it,” the situation center says.
In the end, the police caught the owl, and the animal was transported by the police to the Korkeasaari Wildlife Hospital.
