Germany’s industrial production increased 2.9% in August compared to July, according to seasonally adjusted data published this Tuesday, 8th, by Destatis, the country’s statistics office. The advance was much greater than expected by analysts consulted by FactSet, who predicted a 0.8% increase in production in the period.
Industrial production excluding the energy and construction sectors rose 3.4% in the monthly comparison of August, while the construction sector registered an increase of 0.3%.
