Mexico City.- Due to the passage of Hurricane “Milton”, the airlines Volaris, Viva Aerobus and Aeroméxico announced through their social networks impacts on their operations to and from the Mérida International Airport.

Aeroméxico indicated that for all trips to, from or through Mérida, Yucatán the affected travel dates are October 7 to 8, and that the ticket reissuance will be for the 12th of this month. While Viva Aerobus, reported that it has canceled 16 flights to Mérida, with suspended flights such as: VB7351, 7282, 1111, 11108, 9021, among others. The airline company recommended its users to stay informed of its official channels and check the flight status on the company’s website. Meanwhile, the Mexico City International Airport (AICM) stated that in the presence of Hurricane “Milton” in the Gulf of Mexico and the Yucatan Peninsula, it is likely that takeoff and landing operations to and from cities located in that region of the country are affected in their itineraries. “We recommend all people to remain attentive to the instructions of the civil protection authorities and the notices of their airlines, to verify the status of their flights.
